Our research shows that educational content is being produced by “high-end” competing companies to elevate their brand-identities, build an engaged audience, and drive sales.
Online Videos Influence Shopping Decisions
A Google study from 2019 found that over 50% of shoppers use online videos to determine which specific brand or products to buy¹ while a 2017 study showed that 86% of U.S. viewers say they often use YouTube to learn new things.² These numbers tell us how incredibly valuable educational videos can be for a brand, especially if they can be tailored to convert to sales.
Premium Competing Brands Have Near-Universal Adoption of Educational Content
The overwhelming majority of “high end” competing companies feature educational content. In fact, the only major company we could find with no educational content was Mole-Richardson. The following companies all have excellent educational content:

The high-end brands would not be allocating budgets to educational media content if it was not performing and converting to sales. We believe that the consumer’s increasing reliance on YouTube as a source of education is an excellent opportunity for Neewer to showcase its wide range of products in practical ways and grow an active, profitable audience.
Our Proposal
Fischer & Thorne would like to produce a series of branded educational videos for NEEWER. These videos will exclusively feature NEEWER equipment and focus on a range of techniques for all levels of photographers and filmmakers. Sample topics include:

This list can go on forever, and frankly we get excited thinking about the possibilities. Our team of photographers and videographers has over 20 years of professional experience as well as a long track record of outstanding educational content. Co-founder Mat Thorne has taught photography, multimedia, and design courses at the Maine Media Workshops, B&H Photo Video, and NORDphotography, and has guest lectured at PhotoPlus Expo, the Altitude Design Summit, the Los Angeles Center of Photography, and the International Center of Photography.
We believe that we can create compelling educational content for Neewer that will not only elevate the brand’s image and showcase its products, but also drive sales from new and existing customers. We’re excited to discuss the opportunities.
